Manage referral templates under Outgoing Referrals → Referral Templates. Each template holds reusable referral content used by the referral-PDF generation workflow.
To create a referral template:
- Click + New Referral Template.
- Enter a Template title.
- Choose a Base template (for example a radiology provider such as Sunshine Coast Radiology).
- Enter the Provider number and choose the assigned surgeon / requesting doctor.
- Optionally choose clinicians under Send to clinicians (leave unset for standard procedure and form referrals).
- Enter the requested tests, requesting doctor address / phone, and hospital / ward.
- Ensure Enabled is on, and save.
The assigned surgeon's provider number, phone and address are pre-filled from their record in Saved Signatures, so keep those up to date.
Referral templates are sent as part of the consent process. At the bottom of the consent form you'll see the referrals assigned to that procedure and hospital — toggle each one on or off to choose which are sent with the consent. See Creating & sending a consent form for more instructions.
