Adding a patient manually
Most patients register themselves through the public form, but you can add one manually (for example, walk-ins):
- Click + Add Patient (top-right of the Patients List page).
- Enter the required details (name, date of birth, email).
- Save.
A unique Patient ID is assigned automatically.
Double-check the email address and phone number — it's how OrthoMate communicates with the patient. Manually added patients won't have the full details the registration form captures, so ask them to complete the form too where possible.
Editing a patient
Click the pencil (edit) icon in the Actions column, update the fields, and save. Key details (surgery date, surgeon, procedure) can also be edited from the patient record via Edit.
The fields that can be edited are the patient's name, date of birth, joint type, email, phone, address, Medicare details, private health details, referring doctor, specialist and reason for presentation. Changes update the patient's registration and pre-fill new forms, but existing PDFs aren't changed.
Registration review
The Registration column shows a review status for each patient (for example No review).
If a patient disagreed to any consent questions on the registration form, the Registration column of the patient list shows Review followed by the consents they disagreed to.

Details on which areas the patient disagreed to can be viewed by opening the patient profile.
The full response to the registration form can be downloaded under Documents in the patient profile for additional information.
