If a patient's surgery is cancelled or is no longer going ahead, cancel it from the patient record. This stops OrthoMate sending them PROMs questionnaires for that surgery.
To cancel a surgery
- Click the patient's name in the patient list to open their record.
- At the top of the record, next to the procedure details, click Cancel surgery.
- A confirmation box appears. Click Cancel surgery to confirm, or Keep surgery to go back.
What happens
- The planned surgery is removed from the patient record.
- Any unfinished PROMs questionnaires for that surgery are stopped.
- Completed questionnaires, registration details and consent documents are kept.
If the surgery is only moving to a new date, don't cancel it. Edit the surgery date instead, see Changing PROMs Schedule.
